Mandi House

Named after the palace of the royal family of Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, this area is Delhi’s own Broadway. It houses a cluster of the city’s oldest theatre, music and dance venues such as Kamani Auditorium, LTG Auditorium and Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts. The National School of Drama, the alma mater of some of India’s finest actors, is also in the vicinity. During the cooler months, the area is abuzz with frequent festivals and cultural enthusiasts queuing up to catch the latest big-name production or performance. If you’re still hungering for more culture, pop into neighbouring art institutions like the Lalit Kala Akademi and Triveni Kala Sangam for exhibitions and talks.
