How to air travel with an infant

Travelling with babies can be an exasperating experience, not just for the parents, but also for other passengers. To make yourself, your little one and your co-passengers more comfortable on the flight, follow these simple guidelines. When you're booking your air tickets, make sure you inform the airline that you are travelling with an infant. Your baby will need a ticket, even if you are making him/her sit on your lap. Most importantly, this way you can find out what kind of special facilities the airline offers for babies on board.
Don't forget that no matter how young your baby is, he/she will still require a passport! So plan in advance and make sure you apply for your child's passport and other necessary documents, so that there are no last-minute delays.

Taking off of the airplane can be a frightening experience for the baby. So it's recommended that you feed your infant during take-off, so that he gets distracted.
In your hand luggage on the airplane, make sure to keeps enough clean clothes and diapers handy, next to you. If you have to change your baby, don't do so on your seat - the toilet is equipped for that!
