Hemis National Park

Situated in the eastern part of Ladakh district in Jammu and Kashmir in north India, Hemis National Park is the largest national park in South Asia. Spread over 4400 square kilometres, the Park is home to 16 mammal and 73 bird species. It's home to many endangered animals including the snow leopard, Asiatic ibex, Tibetan wolf, the Eurasian brown bear and the red fox.
