Andhra Pradesh might soon offer heli-taxi rides to promote tourism in the region. The facility is soon to be launched in Krishna district in the state. A few selective private agencies have been chosen by the administration for this purpose. As per the reports, the packages will start from INR 3000.
It is being said that the prime reason behind this project is to let visitors save time during travelling to some of the major tourist attractions in the regions, such as Gandhi Hill, Bhavani Island, Manginapudi and Kanka Durga Temple. Reportedly, post state-bifurcation, tourism footfall almost doubled. The district administrations will be working in full swing to develop the major tourist attractions.
The district administration is now pinning hope on heli tourism, which is expected to boost tourism in the state. Earlier, travellers visiting Vijayawada for Krishna Pushkaralu were offered to tour the city by helicopters. They were charged INR 2000 per person and the heli ride lasted for around 20 min. The service was earlier offered by Pawan Hans Ltd. in association with Krishna district administration and Andhra Pradesh Tourism.
