Bad weather puts a stop on adventure activities in Kullu

If you are the someone who enjoyed visiting Kullu for the sake of adventure sports, this news might hurt you bad. Owing to bad weather and monsoon, all the adventure sports in Kullu have been stopped completely. The entire region is hit with heavy rains and landslides; not only Kullu but all the North Indian hilly terrains are suffering from the same.
Just a few days back, Kullu, one of the prime hill stations in Himachal Pradesh suffered a bad landslide on the Manali-Leh Highway, after which the highway was shut down. This caused a lot of problems for the tourists and local people, as the roads remained blocked for quite some time. Basically, the Manali-Leh Highway is one of the favourite places for the tourists visiting Kullu and Manali. But during monsoons, it gets a little dangerous because of unpredictable rains and landslides.

Kullu, being a prime summer holiday destination, experiences a heavy footfall each year. Situated on the banks of River Beas, Kullu offers many interesting adventure activities, including river rafting, trekking, camping at the riverside, mountaineering, paragliding and river crossing to name a few. But, to much disappointment, bad weather and heavy rains have put a stop on all these sports.
All the rivers in the region are flowing mercilessly and look extremely ferocious. The rain water has filled even the tiny streams to a dangerous level. Moreover, the continuous rainfall in the region has made all these adventure activities quite risky, so the Himachal government has to put a stop on all these activities till bad weather continues.
