Every summer Movies in the Park returns to the city, giving people a chance to enjoy a free flick under the stars! Head to Assiniboine Park on Friday nights in the month of August to watch a summer blockbuster for free. Just don’t forget your chair or blanket and some food and drink. There is always an early and late show, with the former catering to kids and starting at 7 pm. Downtown, you have the Movies on Memorial option, wherein you can catch a free movie at the Memorial Park on Tuesday nights during the month of August. It shows a combination of classic favourites such as Jaws and newer blockbuster movies. Make sure to bring your chair or blanket and snacks. Here, however, you can purchase snacks such as popcorn, pizza, cotton candy and more.
