Tawang to get a new airport and a walk-through market soon

Gorgeous Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh is garnering all attention in the tourism circuit for all the good reasons. Soon a walk-through market and a new airport will be built in this place to facilitate its visitors in all aspects.

Recently, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu said that a walk-through market, similar like that of the popular market in Sikkim, will be developed in Tawang. The minister further informed that Tawang being a tourism hotspot, the state government has taken various initiatives to develop it.
It is expected that the market is likely going to be built on the similar lines of Sikkim’s walk-through market, will have glittering shops, cafes, restaurants and bars on both the sides; the entire area might likely be free of smoke, litter, vehicle, and will be a pedestrian-zone only.
Not just this walk-through market, Tawang will also get a new airport as the Chief Minister, making this announcement recently said that the airport authority has also identified a land for the airstrip. Referring to this development, the minister also mentioned that authorities will further push to start construction of the airport immediately, which can be used jointly by civilian and for defence purposes.
