Golf Heritage Society Museum

The Australian Golf Heritage Society Museum preserves an interesting collection of artefacts and other related information that traces the development of golf in Australia during the 19th century. The Australian Golf Heritage Society (AGHS) was formed with an aim to encourage and display the objects and legacy connected with the history of golf in Australia. Verifying the authenticity of the past items, collecting relevant information, contacting and informing the players, golf clubs and the community in general, its main aim was to display those physical items and relics from where the people can learn about Australia’s connection with golf. They were able to achieve these aims with AGHS Museum and the current major exhibition is 'Golf and War'. It’s a collection of relics and tales acknowledging the individual contributions made by the Australian golfers, Australian golf clubs, and Australian golf equipment manufacturers in the times of conflict. The Museum can give advice on collecting, restoring and preserving old or antique golf clubs and other golfing artefacts as well. The entry is free.
