A tiny town in Kangra district, Triund is a great escape for people who are interested in trekking. Also known as the crown jewel of Dharamshala, Triund’s picturesque landscape is something out-of-this-world. The best part is that this trek can be undertaken by most people as it takes only about three to four hours to reach the top. In fact you can even halt here for a day or two in a government rest house. The path of this trek takes you through forest of oak, deodar, and rhododendron, and it is safe to say that it is an experience to remember. Be informed before embarking on this trek because winter months can be dangerous.
