The home turned museum of one of the most celebrated German authors, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, this is a must-visit for tourists coming to Frankfurt. Coming here is imperative as it gives you insight to the life and times of Goethe. The Goethe House is where he was born way back in 1749, and stayed until 1765. This upscale home is nicely decorated and well-kept for everyone to see. You can see the Dining Room, the Bedrooms, and most importantly the top floor where he wrote his earlier works. There is also the Goethe Museum located next-door, showcasing artworks relating to the time of Goethe. Additionally interested tourists can also make their way to the Goethe Tower, which offers stunning views of the city.
