Who doesn’t love aquatic amusement parks? Everyone does, right? Be it kids or young adults, water parks are absolute fun for all! Kolkata too has one such amazing water theme park which is also counted amongst the oldest water parks in the country. The Aquatica Amusement Park, sprawling over a huge 17 acres, was made open for public in 1999 and since then it has been one of the most famous tourist attractions in the city. The place has some brilliant water rides and adventure rides. The park experiences a large number of visitors during the weekends and only city people but fun seekers from nearby towns too come here with friends and family. If you are visiting here, make sure you jump on these rides, namely Niagara Falls, black hole, wave pool and surf racer, as these are the main showstoppers. And the fun doesn’t end here as there’s also a karting track close to the water park where lovers of karting can enjoy.
When you are done exploring these places, you might also take your kids to the beautiful Botanical Garden or the hub of knowledge Oxford Bookstore or the famous Birla Planetarium. If your little ones are into animal watching, take them to the Alipore Zoological Gardens, which is also known as one of the oldest zoos in India. All these amusing, informative and entertaining places prove the fact that Kolkata is also for kids.
