Running parallel to Princes Street, things are a little more upmarket on George Street. Home to a plethora of independent fashion designers, world-renowned fashion boutiques and top cosmetic companies, it’s a prime spot for affluent visitors and aspirational window shoppers.
By St Andrews Square you'll find Harvey Nichol's and Edinburgh-born menswear designer emporium Cruise. As well as international labels like Mulberry and Louis Vuitton on nearby Multrees Walk, Scottish brands also takes centre stage with the likes of independent jeweller Rox (54 George Street, Assembly Rooms) and luxury cosmetics brand Arran Aromatics (46a George Street), all amidst some rather grandiose Georgian architecture.
