Walk in the door to Filmcasino and you’ll be transported back to the 1950s - one of the golden eras of cinema. The interior is replete with wood panelling and the furnishings are from a bygone era, reminiscent of something you might have seen in one of the first colour print movies, or even a black and white one.
Nowadays, Filmcasino projects a steady stream of independent and alternative films, and unlike most theatres in Austria, the films aren’t dubbed into German. Fans of Asian and French films, as well as special cinema events like ‘Film and Food’ (Kino & Kuchen) and ‘Women Behind The Camera’ will have plenty to watch here.
