Established in 2003, this museum in Hyderabad offers a great opportunity to peep into the lives of tribes living in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. This two-storey red brick coloured building will welcome you with stunning carvings that resonate with the cultures of tribal people. And once you step inside the museum, you will feel like you have literally stepped into a tribal village.
You also get to encounter the simple yet lively lifestyle of tribes from Andhra Pradesh like Lambada, Bagata, Hill Reddis, Kondareddy, and Chenchus. The life-like sculptures of tribal people going out on their daily work with their bullock carts, and going to the market are simply amazing to witness.

You can, in fact, go about following stories that are depicted via literature, pictures and an audio-visual experience. Then there are also on display various tools that are used by these tribal people, such as fish and rat traps, hunting equipment, and bows and arrows. As you browse around the museum, there are spots that wooden musical instruments are displayed, and scenes of tribal dance are also sketched, giving you an idea of their musical taste and culture.
