Situated in northwest Dubrovnik, Elaphiti is an archipelago of 13 islands including the three main islands of Kolocep, Lopud and Sipan. Only these three islands are inhabited and Kolocep and Lopud are entirely car-free. While Kolocep, located just 5 km, is closest to Dubrovnik, Lopud is famous for pristine beaches and Sipan derives its beauty from rugged coastline. A day trip to islands is an excellent way to enjoy the relaxed vibe away from the city. The islands can be easily accessed with a public ferry, catamarans, speedboats or with an organized tour. The tour boats dock at each of the three islands and you are free to explore them at leisure. Walk around the lush gardens, orange orchards and explore the rugged coastal scenery and quaint village life of its inhabitants. Enjoy delectable lunch of grilled sea food at one of the ocean front restaurants. The charming manor houses overlooking the churches near the seafront will leave lasting impressions.
