Heeding PM Modi’s call, India grabbed the attention of the entire world by banging thalis, ringing bells and blowing conches on the evening of March 22 as a way of showing solidarity with those working at the frontlines against the Coronavirus crisis. In Italy, the residents peeped out of their balconies and windows to clap for the support staff, doctors and others who were working even in the middle of the COVID-19 crisis. Now, it seems that people in the severely-hit USA have been resorting to similar actions, albeit by howling and screaming at twilight.
Reportedly, the government authorities in some cities are also encouraging people to join in. Some of the human howls are also supported by their canine pets, fireworks, bell-ringing etc.
For many people, twilight howling is a ray of hope to express their eventual victory over the ongoing pandemic which has hit the USA really bad.
According to the reports, health care workers are happy and grateful for this unique support, and the relief of a few moments that they get from their hectic work.
