Located on an island on the Isar River, the museum was founded in 1903, and it occupies an area of 50,000 sq m. The museum possesses more than 100,000 exhibits out of which around, 28,000 are on display. The ranges of topics include aerospace, mining, atomic physics, industrial robots, diesel engines, and many more.
