The Airport Service Quality (ASQ) reports suggest that airports in Delhi (Indira Gandhi International Airport), Mumbai (Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport) and Hyderabad (Rajiv Gandhi International Airport) have won the top spot in their respective categories. Read less
The Airport Service Quality (ASQ) reports suggest that airports in Delhi (Indira Gandhi International Airport), Mumbai (Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport) and Hyderabad (Rajiv Gandhi International Airport) have won the top spot in their respective categories. The ratings were conducted by Airports Council International (ACI). Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) and Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport have both become the number one airport in the highest category in the world, with over 40 million passenger each year. Hyderabad airport won the top spot with 5-15 million passengers per annum category for the year 2017.

Both Delhi and Hyderabad airports are running under a consortium with the GMR group, while the Mumbai airport is running under a consortium with the GVK group. The Delhi airport crossed the 63.5 million passenger mark in 2017, and in the process overtook Changi, Incheon and Bangkok airports, as far as passenger growth is concerned. Delhi currently stands as the seventh busiest airport in Asia, and is ranked in the top 20 busiest airport in the world.

The survey conducted by ACI has selected these airports after carefully taking passenger surveys from across the world. The passengers rated these international airports on 34 performance indicators, such as, airport check-in, restrooms, stores, security screening and restaurants.
