Pick between 8:45-9:30am in the morning or 5:30-6:30pm in the evening. This southernmost station on the Western line peaks in congestion during regular office-going hours. As the closest station from corporate zones like Nariman Point, Fort and Colaba, it is the major thoroughfare for people that live in the populous suburbs to the north. While the station has five platforms, the best vantage point is near the entrance, facing the train time indicators. Sip a filter coffee, munch on some fresh popcorn, or pop a packet of charcoal roasted peanuts as you while away your time, you're not on a schedule, they are. But do find a spot outside the eddies and swirls of commuters or you'll find yourself riding the wave all the way to the suburbia.
