Chopta, some 400 km away from Delhi, is a hidden jewel in Uttarakhand. The trek from Chopta to Tungnath is an easy trek of around 5 km, perfect for starters. It has well-paved path with small tea stalls on the way. The views and the meadows on this trek are sure to take your breath way. Start the trek from Chopta early in the morning and reach Tungnath by lunch. Just behind the temple there are cliffs from where you get mesmerising views during sunset. Enjoy that and stay overnight at Tungnath. Go for Chandrashila trek, which is a steep 1 km trek, next early morning for a beautiful sunrise.
