Chicago Neighborhood Tours take visitors out of the Loop to where Chicagoans go about their daily lives, and remnants of the past shed light on the city’s multicultural heritage.

There are over 30 tours, including a look at the faded grandeur, jazz palaces and mobsters of Uptown; an exploration of the Historic Pullman District and its sad tale of failed philanthropy; and a visit to the extravagant churches of the Ukrainian Village. It’s easy to reach further-flung neighborhoods using Chicago’s efficient public transport – and with the city being so flat, walking tours are easy on the legs, too.
