Lord Krishna’s devotees nurture reverence for a special place which houses the prints of his distinguished lotus footprints. This site is known as Charan Chauki (meaning seat of holy feet) and it is situated about 15 kilometres from Kota City. Thousands of years back, in the Dwapara Yuga, Lord Krishna in his human form had rested at this place for a short while on his way to his capital city Dwarka from his native town Mathura. The footprints of the lord got engraved at this place for posterity and are worshipped till date.
