A celebrated name in Phuket, Ban Boran Textiles deals in fine silk and cotton fabrics that have been sourced from the tribal communities of Thailand, and its neighbouring countries. Apart from breezy clothing in the form of shirts, skirts and trousers, you can find pretty bags, footwear, handmade sarongs, bracelets and dainty furniture inside this cosy establishment. Get ready to pay anything over 1000 Baht for your purchase as bargaining is not really appreciated. Wandee Keawtawee is one of the owners and is always around to help you pick the right souvenir. Not related to the textile store in any way whatsoever, Ban Boran Antiques offer classic silk products, handicrafts, traditional art and furniture, all of which seek to encapsulate the essence of Thailand. The store is spread out on two floors and is home to fascinating wooden sculptures, bronze statues, silver necklaces, gold accessories, temple drums and elephant bells among other artifacts. If you are a collector, make every effort to locate this inconspicuous shop and you will not be disappointed. The prices are on the higher side for obvious reasons.
