In April 2014, a glass bottle was tossed into the North Atlantic Ocean having a note tucked into it. For 4 long years, the bottle travelled 1,000 miles or 1,600 kilometres across the ocean until it reached the shores of Bermuda to be found by a young lad.Reportedly, 12-year-old Joseph Vallis discovered the bottle while helping others in his community clean the beach.

According to the reports, the message was quite faded and hardly readable under normal light. Therefore, it was brought under a black light to read its contents. The message also revealed that it was dropped overboard of a French yacht in April 2014.

Joseph’s father Boyd Vallis even shared a map on his social media page that depicted the trail of the bottle in the period of 4 years. The Vallis family also told the Royal Gazette that he even went ahead and sent emails to the email addresses given in the bottled note but did not receive any response.
