A must-visit for the science geeks, the Birla Science Museum is one of the finest science museums in the country and was originally designed by renowned civil engineer P. A. Singaravelu. The reason why this museum is counted among the top attractions in the city is the fact it comprises a planetarium, museum, science center, art gallery as well as a dinosaurium. The dinosaurium in this museum is particularly famous for being home to the exhibit of a 160-million-year-old mounted Kotasaurus yamanpalliensis (a dinosaur species), which was excavated in the Adilabad district of Telangana by the Geological Survey of India.
