There’s no better way to see Florence than by bike. As the city’s myriad attractions are spread far and wide (and flat) - from the historic centre’s palazzos to the gardens further out - and with many of small side streets closed off to cars, a bicycle gives you quick and easy access to the whole of the city.

You’ll find bicycle rental places throughout Florence, with popular company 'Florence by Bike' based near the centre on via San Zanobi. Just remember to return the bike within the allotted time or you'll get a hefty fine.
