This gorgeous park is located in the river valley and on a sunny day in Edmonton, it doesn’t get much better than visiting here for the day. If you want to enjoy the lake, there are a few options including renting a paddleboat for either 20 or 40 minutes starting at just $6.00 per person. There is no swimming at this lake, although there are plenty of other activities to keep the kids occupied including a great playground. You should definitely pack a picnic and bring it with you if you plan on spending the day here as there are numerous picnic sites along with a covered pavilion just in case of bad weather. Plenty of open grassy areas are prevalent throughout the park so make sure to pack a Frisbee or soccer ball to kick around. The park is also loaded with walking, running and biking trails so if you are looking to stay fit, this is a great place to work-out, or simply enjoy the paths and the greenery they offer.
