With the imposing Bekal Fort in the backdrop, this beach has a picturesque setting. Small and shallow, it is located at the foot of the 300-year-old fort in Kasargod, the northern-most district in the state of Kerala. In the last few years, a rock garden, a walkway, tree houses and rest houses and a children’s park have been developed around the beach. Don’t miss out on an evening walk to watch the sunset, as the beach is also illuminated at night. In case you want to stay in the area, the luxurious Vivanta by Taj—Bekal hotel is situated right next to the beach.
