Langkawi is known for its vast geo forests, the Kilim Karst Geoforest Park being the most popular one. This has mangroves and one can take a guided tour on a motorboat. River Kilim meanders its way through the dense mangroves and offers beautiful vistas of the massive limestone hills that prop up all along. The river hosts numerous private yachts that can be seen parked en-route. The geo forest is quite a pristine one basking in serenity. There are pit stops at fish farms which fall on the way. Visitors can feed fishes and crabs here. Children are sure to love this part of the ride. The biggest attraction of this tour is eagle feeding. Chicken innards are dropped into the river and within seconds eagles swoop down from all directions to pick it up. Crocodile caves and bat caves are also quite popular. One can get down at the bat caves and walk in with a torch to spot the hanging bats. The caves are quite dark with stalactites and stalagmites. The final place of visit on the tour is the mouth of the river where it joins the Andaman Sea. Thailand is a short ride away from here.
