Art Gallery of Alberta

A visit to the Art Gallery of Alberta promises to be entertaining and informative, with over 6,000 pieces of art on display. In order to enjoy an evening out here, you will have to come here on either Wednesdays or Thursdays when the gallery is open until 9 pm. On the other days of the week, it is open until 5:00 pm. At the art gallery, you will find both Canadian and international artists and pieces of art that range from sculptures to paintings to an interactive component. If you happen to visit on a Thursday, why not try to drop in a Yoga class that is offered in different exhibition spaces throughout the gallery. Your night will be spent grabbing a bite to eat in the restaurant, taking in the wonderful pieces of art and experiencing the talks and films that take throughout the year. There is also a possibility of combining your visit with one of their drop-in studio art classes where you will learn how to create your very own piece of art. Themes range from drawing to painting to calligraphy and more.
