There’s little in the way of consistency when it comes to the type of stores that grace Hamdan Street, but one thing’s for certain—the avenue is lined with shops.
Sportswear enthusiasts are well catered for with a Sun and Sand, as well as an Adidas. Wander down the connecting alleyways and you’ll find tailors, antique shops and the odd cheapie stocking a wide range of esoterica. In a little alley off the avenue near the Sheraton, there’s also a collection of designer wear. Overall, it's an interesting area to explore on one of Dhabi’s rare, cooler days.
