Tapkeshwar Temple

Situated inside the Garhi Cantonment area, the Tapkeshwar Mahadev temple is a cave temple, located along the banks of a seasonal river. This is probably the most significance temple in the city, and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Beside the river are steps that lead to a cave in which water drips from the ceiling on to a shivling. This is where the temple takes its name from, and it is believed that at the time of the Mahabharat, Lord Shiva made milk flow from the cave for the son of Guru Dronacharya.
