Further south of Half Moon Beach lies the southernmost beach in Gokarna known as Paradise Beach. The trek from Half Moon Beach is a tough one over the rocks with the company of Arabian Sea. This is another secluded beach, which gets active only during the peak season and has minimal activity during the other half of the year. Paradise Beach is accessible only by a trek from Half Moon Beach or by a boat/catamaran ride from other beaches. It was once the most preferred beach of the hippies when they first landed in Gokarna due to its raw surreal beauty and seclusion. Evenings on this beach are leisurely with delicious seafood served by the cafes with music gatherings. The breathtaking sight of the Arabian Sea, the bright moon and twinkling stars are all that one has to look at while spending time on the Paradise Beach. It is also an ideal place for a dip in the blue waters and to work on your tan. Lined with numerous shacks and cafes, the intrusion of commercialisation has however slowly made this paradise vulnerable and may soon lose its charm in the years to come.
