Shankari’s yoga retreat offers a harmonious escape from the busy yoga scene around Ubud as it’s located in an undeveloped and serene spot along the sacred Balian River close to stunning but deserted black sand beaches. Shankari’s mission is to inspire inner strength, outer beauty and activated self-healing. There is a serene spa, 3 pools, lush gardens and 2 beautiful yoga shalas built with natural, local materials and artistically decorated in traditional Balinese style. Daily yoga and chanting sessions are held each day and guests can also use the yoga space and garden pavilions for their own individual private practise. Read less

There is a serene spa, 3 pools, lush gardens and 2 beautiful yoga shalas built with natural, local materials and artistically decorated in traditional Balinese style. Daily yoga and chanting sessions are held each day and guests can also use the yoga space and garden pavilions for their own individual private practise. It’s also a popular place for yoga teachers to arrange their own retreat to bring their students. Rooms are spiritually themed and adorned with beautiful mosaics and good healthy Indonesian and Western food including vegan and vegetarian options are served at the Blue Lotus café.
