History
The protest became so popular across the country that people started writing slogans on the kites and flew those in the sky. Since then, kite flying became an important part of India’s freedom history and a tradition that is still carried out.
In old Delhi, shopkeepers have come up with kites with messages such as Wash your hands and Please maintain a six-feet distance.
