The “Festa del cinema di Roma” is the Roman film festival that despite being relatively young, is grabbing the attention of the international media, and sees the participation of important actors and directors each year.It is usually hosted in the beetle-like auditorium complex planned by world famous architect Renzo Piano, an attraction itself.
Even if under different denomination, the event has been going on every autumn since 2006, reaching this year its eleventh edition that will be a non competitive one, as established in the last few years.
Connected with the “Festa del Cinema di Roma”, several side projects are taking place, involving cultural events, fiction series and a unique cinema market oriented at professionals, where potential buyers can watch new movie candidates.
Booking is strongly suggested if you wish to assist to the screening of a movie, and the payment of a fee is required in order to secure your place.
The “Auditorium Parco della Musica” is located in the Flaminio area and connected with several buses and trolleys: a convenient one is the tram number 2 leaving from the metro station Flaminio, right next to “Piazza del Popolo”. Alternatively you can even walk from here for 25 minutes.
If you are Cinema fan, you might want to consider visiting also the “Cinecittà Studios”, where many Italian and international movies have been shoot.
