Calgary Farmers’ Market

One of the best things about the Calgary Farmers’ Market is the fact that it is open throughout the year, offering visitors the opportunity to come here no matter what season it is. There are over 80 vendors at the market that offer everything from fresh produce to hand-baked bread to art, clothes and jewellery. Around 80% of the vendors here make, grow or bake products, ensuring that local farmers and artisans are fully supported. The market opened in 2004, and moved its location in 2011 due to rapid growth. A total of 20,000 people visit the market every week, and some of the popular vendors are Souto Farms, Simple Simon Pies and 2 Greek Gals. The market also offers a great food court, free parking and a beautiful fireplace. Did we mention that there is also a children’s play area for entertaining the little ones when they get bored of shopping?
