Gorakhpur - Mumbai Holi Special Train introduced to manage Holi rush

In order to cater to the increased demand in train tickets due to Holi festival 2018, the Indian Railways has announced the launch of Gorakhpur to Mumbai Holi special train 2018.
Called the Jan Sadharan special train, the train to be operated as the Gorakhpur to Mumbai special train for Holi will be with train number 02597/02598.

When it comes to train number 02597, it will depart from Gorakhpur and travel all the way to Mumbai. It will operate on every Saturday from February 17 to March 10. The special train will depart from Gorakhpur at 2:20 pm and will arrive in Mumbai at 12:15 pm the next day.


Also, train number 02598 from Mumbai to Gorakhpur will operate from February 18 to March 11. The train will depart from Mumbai at 2:20 pm and arrive in Gorakhpur at 6:45 pm the next day.

Revealing more details about these trains, Northern Railways has said that these special trains will have 16 general coaches along with two disabled friendly cum luggage van coaches.

While this special train hopes to cater to the rising demand of Gorakhpur to Mumbai train tickets, it will also aid some other passengers with stops at stations like Basti, Kanpur Central, Jhansi, Habibganj and Kalyan in both directions. Other halts will include Khalilabad, Lucknow, Itarsi, Bhusaval and Gonda.
