The famous town of Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh is all set to have another lure for travellers. On lines similar to that of Darjeeling's Himalayan Railway and Shimla's famous Shimla - Kalka trains, Tawang will soon see a toy train. Arunachal Pradesh's CM Pema Khandu has given a go ahead to the North East Frontier Railway to kickstart a toy train project in Tawang.
The toy train would center around tourists, and will have around three bogies, each with a capacity of 12 passengers. Its proposed trajectory would be around the town itself, and would also include food centers, local bazaars, a park and more.

The two major toy trains of Darjeeling and Shimla promise stunning views to passengers, and Tawang's toy train might just be another perfect odyssey as all the three trains are set in the Himalayas.
Apart from its landscapes, Tawang is also home to a very famous Buddhist monastery. The famed monastery is the largest in the country and the second largest in the world, followed by Tibet's famous Potala Palace.
