Having to haul your luggage up a treetop is worth it, when the dwelling is as undeniably cool as Sweden’s Treehotel. Floating ethereally in the evergreen forests, this hotel is composed of five individually designed ‘treerooms,’ each of which is created in collaboration with leading Scandinavian architects. The most distinctive room is a particularly futuristic suite that reflects the forest surroundings from its mirrored cubical walls. Other accommodation options include a bird nest look-alike, an alien UFO suite and a spacious cabin wedged between the trees.
