The National Museum of Science and Technology is famous as Sweden’s biggest museum of technology. The museum was started with an endeavour to preserve the technical and industrial history of the country. Called as Tekniska Museet in Sweden, the museum was opened in 1936 and ever since it has played host to millions of people who are curious to know more about tools and technology. The National Museum of Science and Technology intends to develop and share information that can be used in the best way for societal development. The museum documents technologies, stories and memoirs in order to preserve them for generations to come. Once at the museum, glance through and experience the exhibitions on space, inventions, energy and the environment along with other areas of topical interest. The museum also has a library with a well-preserved collection of books. The museum became a foundation in 1947 and has been operating on government funding since 1964.
