Mount Rushmore is one of the prominent tourist attractions in the US state of South Dakota. The sculpture was completed in 1941. The 60 ft high granite face sculptures here feature four famous US Presidents, namely George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. Besides, there is also a museum with interactive exhibits.These four sculptures represent prime phases of American history, which are George Washington, representing the birth of America; Thomas Jefferson, representing the growth of the country; Abraham Lincoln, for his contribution during the Civil War; and Theodore Roosevelt, for the country’s development.Usually, the parking charge for vehicles at the park entrance is $10, however these days, the parking is free, and all the boom barriers have been removed. This has given easy access to people.
