St Michael’s Gate located in this area is the original gate from the medieval fortified city of Pressburg. The history of its foundation goes back to 14th century and was obviously renovated or modified several times after that. It gets its name from the statue of St Michael placed on top of its tall tower. If you manage to go on to the top floor of this tower, you get a spectacular view of the city of Bratislava—you can see the old town from top and the Bratislava Castle.
