Conceived in 2011, the Kranji Heritage Trail bridges the gap between the region's historical past (such as the Kranji War Memorial) to its living present (from lush, organic veggie gardens to a frog farm). Each point of interest can be found on a downloadable map, with shuttle services valid for six stops on the trail departing Kranji MRT station daily (50-minute travel time from Orchard Road). Alternately, hire a car to explore the area at your own leisure. Several restaurants and farmers' markets can be found en route.
