A pork lover's paradise

Word to the wise: Salumi is very popular and tends to run out of menu items each day, so aim for an early lunch.

Popular plate: The Porchetta sandwich made with sliced onions and fennel makes for a lovely light meal.

Part deli, part curing facility, Salumi serves gourmet meats, sandwiches and other Italian delicacies from it's tiny, bustling storefront. Modeled on a traditional Italian salumeria, Salumi practices Mediterranean curing techniques that aren't found anywhere else in Seattle.

Obviously, the highlight is the salami, which is sliced super-thinly and comes in several varieties. The daily menu also includes a small range of pastas and other Mediterranean-style goodies. If the seating area is full, you can still order food to go.
