Word to the wise: Come early to avoid the crowds and see many of the shows for free.

This narrow, red-lit dive bar is a local favorite. The crowd is friendly and eclectic, the drinks are consistent, and the feel of the place is cozy and warm. The real draw, however, is the entertainment. Amnesia hosts live events every night of the week, from jazz and blues to theatrical burlesque, a capella to standup comedy, talented DJs to guitar-strumming folk.

With about half the shows being free, and others between only USD 5-10, there’s often limited room for dancing. But for great shows at affordable prices, the tight squeeze is all part of Amnesia’s charm.
