Sightseeing via the Tiber

Word to the wise: Castel Sant'Angelo and Tiber Island are the easiest boarding points with boats arriving every 30 minutes.

The Tiber is the main vein that throbs through the Eternal City. The bridges alone are a sight to behold, each one testimony to another period of breathtaking history. While boat tours may be standard tourist fodder, this one is worth joining the masses for. Get a front row seat, and pretend you're alone as you chug along the waters spying the dome of St Peter's in the distance or admiring the angels of Ponte Sant' Angelo.
