Considered to be one of India’s premiere institutes, the Pune University was originally built in 1864 as the governor’s mansion. The lush green lawns adorned with majestic fountains are a constant source of attraction for the people of Pune. From filmmakers to musicians, everyone heads to the grounds of the university for a much needed stroll during evenings. The building is now considered a Grade-I Heritage site.
