The Czech capital's high street
Word to the wise: Národní Třída isn't a bad place to eat either, whether its from the many cheap but decent street stalls selling sausages or in grand establishments such as the elegant Cafe Louvre.
Packed with grand buildings, cafes and brightly lit boutiques, Národní Třída is one central Prague street that locals seem to find indispensible. While the avenue itself is filled with big name brands, the streets nearby - often known by expats as SoNo, or South of Národní - are a great place to come for smaller designer outlets and hip boutiques.
It's not all about clothes here, however, as Národní Třída and its surroundings are also a good place to hunt down antique books, unusual musical instruments, Bohemian crystal and a range of other interesting finds.
