Widely touted as Prague's best restaurant, Bellevue is to be found in an opulent chateau-like building on the Vltava Embankment. Indeed, the restaurant's great views across to Prague Castle are one of its main draws - but the sensational food is the real star of the show here.

The cuisine on offer can be best described as modern European. Mediterranean ingredients are a key feature, sometimes matched with typically Czech flavourings such as horseradish, dill and mustard and given a creative, haute cuisine treatment.

The decor is plush and modern, with velvet covered chairs and grand chandeliers mysteriously swathed in black tassels.
